Pallet Conveyor System

Roller Conveyors

Although roller conveyors are used heavily in industrial factories they are becoming increasingly used in daily life common.

Why Roller Conveyors?

Factories are all about producing as much as you can as effectively as you can which would lead to reduced costs. With the items being manufactured getting larger and heavier it takes a lot of man power to move items around the factories. This was until the roller conveyor was introduced.

Roller conveyors reduce the need to use labour to transport items from one end of a factory to another. By placing production on rollers it automaticity takes them from point A to point B without interference.

While reducing labour it is also faster than using manual labour. Roller conveyors will keep working and do not need to stop for brakes, holidays or meetings.

Roller conveyors also have the ability to carry much larger objects too. This can reduce on transportation cost like forklift and pump trucks.

There are three main different types of Roller conveyor. These are:

Gravity roller conveyor

Typically used to Transport dry and solid items with a low centre of gravity meaning they cannot topple over and they have a flat base. They also cannot transport anything which is at risk of getting jammed between each roller.

They are mainly used to transport materials into a processing machine. One the machine has finished they will also typically take them away.

The attraction of Gravity roller conveyors is the low capital cost and relatively low maintenance costs.

Driven Roller Conveyor

Driven roller conveyors are a flexible solutions that allow for greater control as your products travel from one point to another. These types of roller conveyors are idea for moving fragile and lightweight items they need to be transported carefully.

Pallet Conveyors

Pallet conveyors are also known as palletised transport system is a roller conveyor that can transport whole pallets. Pallet conveyors are mainly used to transport goods directly to the loading area. They are built to handle the weight that is expected from pallets. It reduces the amount of forklifts needed reducing costs, traffic and manpower.
