What are slat conveyors?

Slat conveyors are ideal for food processing applications. They are available in either plastic or stainless steel. Typically a slat conveyor speed varies between 1 metre per minute up to 50 metres per minute. It is also possible to incline up the conveyors and to also travel around corners.

Why use slat conveyors?

Slat conveyor have the ability to transport raw good on a making it the obvious choice for any food processing plant. Although initially slat conveyors are more expensive compared to traditional belts by about 10 to 15%.That said you can expect them to last up to ten times longer.

Slat conveyor maintenance

Slat conveyors really come into their own when it comes to maintaining these belts. With traditional belts, the entire belt need replacing whereas with a slat conveyor you can just replace one link. Each link can be removed in a matter of seconds. Again the maintenance of the chain which powers the belts can also be fitted in a matter of minutes as opposed to hours.
